So an SSL certificate issue delayed this post by three days. It should have come out on Friday prior to the past weekend’s games but hey, better late than never I say.

October started with a bang for Arsenal as they painted North London RED by hammering Spurs 3-1 at the Emirates. Mikel Arteta’s men (sorry, boys) outplayed, out-thought and out-gunned Antonio Conte’s seasoned campaigners to continue to fly high at the top of the Premier League.

Man City though kept pace with the North Londoners as they hammered Manchester United 6-3 at the Etihad. Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both claiming hat-tricks in a one-sided affair and despite conceding 3 goals, were just way-too good for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Newcastle earned just their second win of the season as they pummeled Fulham at Craven Cottage 4-1. Eddie Howe’s men were full value for money and the richest club in the world can only hope they go from strength to strength.

ChippyBoy produced another stellar prediction weekend as he claimed 18 points, getting five points for predicting West Ham’s 2-0 win over Wolves, Everton’s 2-1 win over Southampton and matching Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Aston Villa. He also picked up a point each for the Arsenal result over Spurs, Chelsea’s win over Palace and City’s triumph over United.

I myself picked up 12 points as I got the Arsenal result spot on, as well as predicting Chelsea’s 2-1 triumph while picking up points for City’s win and Leicester’s win over Forest.

Woody managed nine points with his best coming in the Arsenal game. While he didn’t get the result spot-on, he did predict the margin of victory. He also managed two points for his draw prediction for Leeds and Villa while picking up points for Chelsea’s win and Newcastle’s as well as City and Leicester.

The results extended Chippy’s lead at the top of the log while I sent Woody bottom!

ChippyBoy also had a stellar weekend in the FPL, smashing 97 points to take top spot, although sharing the lead with VAR Rovers, who cracked 91 points.

Woody is labouring in fourth place, but just 19 points adrift of the #OneBall Legend! Myself, well, I thought I had a fantastic weekend. Even though I only managed 77 points, it was enough to move me off the bottom and up two places. Chug Along Ponies, who support Liverpool, slumped into the basement.

This coming weekend (yes I know it is already on the go) has one big match with Arsenal hosting Liverpool. Jurgen Klop’s side have not fired but yet they always tend to come up trumps against Arteta’s men. A win for Arsenal will really set tongue’s wagging that this season that perhaps they are the only side capable of pushing City all the way top the title.

Can Newcastle build on their 4-1 win over Fulham? Can United recover from their drubbing? Well, myself and ChippyBoy think Arsenal can win, while Woody is hoping for a Pool victory.

Only I have faith in United overcoming Everton on Sunday with Chippy thinking his side will lose again and Woody sitting on the fence.

Let’s see what happens.
